Topsfield – Adding a Master Bath
What was once a closet is now a very beautiful and functional master bathroom. This is a great example of what can be done to turn a very small space into something far more useful and elegant. With this project, significant space savings were accomplished by building the above-toilet cabinet into the wall, and by adding a pocket door. This provided room for a vanity with considerable counter space and a roomy shower. The shower itself has corner shelves made out of the same granite as the vanity countertop, and they are a perfect complement to the shower tile. The selection of a consistent tile pattern for the shower walls and the bathroom floor gives the bathroom a much larger appearance than seemed possible with the original limited closet dimensions.
